In September, he will embark on the Clipper 05-06 Round the World Yacht Race, as one of the 18-strong crew of the yacht Uniquely Singapore.
Meanwhile, Suntec's director of marketing and sales James Papineau has also resigned from the centre and relocated to North America to further pursue his career and be closer to his family.
Beevers was instrumental in enhancing the centre's customer service and efficiency, and streamlining operations.
Papineau was a key player in the formation of a ground-breaking cross-industry marketing consortium comprising of Suntec Singapore, seven partner hotels in the precinct and Singapore Airlines, with support from the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB).
Promoting the precinct surrounding Suntec Singapore jointly from 2001, the marketing campaign won the PATA Gold Award for Industry in April 2003.
The director of sales and marketing position at Suntec will not be filled in the short term.
Alice Yeo will continue to be in charge of sales activities for the centre, while Elena Arabadjieva, assistant director marketing communication, has had her role expanded.
Arabadjieva is to oversee Suntec Singapore's marketing efforts in the areas of planning, promotions and advertising, strategy development and community affairs.
Both Yeo and Arabadjieva will report directly to Warren Buckley, CEO of Suntec Singapore.
