Toedman lauded for IAA work
<p>The revival of the International Advertising Association (IAA) </p><p>chapter in Hong Kong under the leadership of Mr Michael Toedman of </p><p>Business Week has received special mention from IAA executive director </p><p>Richard Corner. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mr Corner told MEDIA the Hong Kong chapter, which once was moribund and </p><p>now has 75 members, was "a shining example of extraordinary activity" </p><p>and praised Mr Toedman for his "market to product" approach. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, the IAA is re-examining its approach in Asia under new </p><p>vice-president and area director Kazuo Miyakawa, managing director of </p><p>Dentsu in Tokyo. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The IAA is strongly committed to education and is discussing university </p><p>accreditation for advertising courses in Hong Kong. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It also supports freedom of commercial speech, including on the </p><p>Internet. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
