TNS realignment to capitalise on worldwide scale

Global market research company TNS has realigned its global operations, linking the Asia-Pacific region with three other high growth markets: Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

The four regions will fall under one umbrella division called ALM, an acronym of the four regions. The current Asia-Pacific regional management board, headed by James Hall, has been tasked with leading ALM globally, with Europe and North America running the two other divisions.

"It has been driven by global strategy, client orientation, the desire for a better structure in terms of our geography, and capitalising on the strength we have created here in Asia," said Hall. "The new ALM region is not going to present any significant cost savings, but will allow us to capitalise on scale."

The changes have sparked a management reshuffle, with Stephen Jenke named regional director for operations, Southern Asia and Oceania, David Richardson as regional director North Asia (Greater China, Japan and Korea), and Chris Riquier named MD of Oceania, which includes Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific Island markets. Stuart Campbell-Morris meanwhile, assumes the role of regional director for business in India, the Middle East and Africa, and a Latin America head is yet to be appointed.
