Tiger Beer appoints We Are Social as social-media agency

SINGAPORE – Tiger Beer has appointed We Are Social to help develop its global social media strategy in a bid to further its online engagement with a new generation of drinkers.

We Are Social will be responsible for conducting an in-depth audit of social-media conversations surrounding the Tiger brand. It will also work with the Tiger team to co-create an audience-engagement strategy across multiple channels on a global and local market basis.

The work will be led from the We Are Social’s Singapore office.

Simon Kemp, managing director of We Are Social Singapore, said Tiger Beer is one of Asia’s most exciting brands that represents much of the opportunity in the region.

“Tiger Beer’s activities also inspire a considerable volume of conversation in online communities, and because these are people who like to share their experiences in social media, it represents the ideal communication platform for the brand,” he added.

Edmond Neo, director, group commercial, Asia Pacific Breweries, said Tiger Beer’s efforts to capitalise  on lifestyle platforms, such as Tiger Translate and Tiger Street Football, had appealed to increasingly “trend-savvy consumers”.

He said the partnership with We Are Social will further the “breadth and depth in which we engage with the new generation of drinkers online”.
