Three vie for US$1 million Sepang F1 assignment

KUALA LUMPUR - The Sepang International Circuit has put its 2007 creative - which will include the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix - up for pitch, pitting incumbent BatesAsia Malaysia against M&C Saatchi and Sil Ad.

Worth an estimated RM5 million in adex, the account also includes the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix and A1 Grand Prix.

It is believed that TBWA was also invited to present, but declined due to the massive Malaysian Airlines pitch that took place earlier this week.

The business was previously held by M&C Saatchi in 2005, before Bates secured the 2006 assignment.
