Three in the running for DBS

SINGAPORE - DBS, the largest commercial banking group in Singapore and Southeast Asia has invited three pairs of creative and media agencies for its upcoming full-service pitch.

According to sources, the creative and media agencies involved include MPG-Euro RSCG, incumbents PHD-DDB, and Mindshare- David Communications.

The bank’s media is currently split between Mindshare, which handles the bank's consumer media account, and PHD, which takes care of its corporate media business.

DBS recently laid off 900 people in Singapore and Hong Kong.

The bank has been criticised by Singapore’s Labour Union chief Lim Swee Say for failing to consult its staff union on retrenching its workers or exploring other cost-cutting measures first.
