Three US-based executives have announced they are leaving The Trade Desk (TTD) in what the demand-side platform is calling “a changing of the guard”.

TTD confirmed in a statement to Performance Marketing World that chief marketer and executive vice president Ian Colley, vice president of communications Melinda Zurich, and Matthew Henick, senior vice president of TTD’s Ventura TV OS, are all leaving.

Colley, who has been at TTD for seven years, is set to be replaced by Anna Sayre, who has been with the company for the same amount of time and was previously vice president, marketing.

Meanwhile, Henick’s leading role at Ventura will be taken by Rob Caruso, who is currently vice president of product management and user experience at Ventura, TTD's streaming TV operating system for advertisers.

The departures follow weeks of TTD making headlines for holdcos turning away from the company after a series of audits commissioned by the likes of Publicis and Omnicom

Speaking to PMW about the departures, TTD said: “Today we announced a changing of the guard at The Trade Desk in two key roles. Anna Sayre has been named the interim CMO of The Trade Desk. Anna has been with the company for seven years, having previously spent years inside of global agencies.

“Rob Caruso will lead our Ventura TV OS. Rob has a strong pedigree in consumer TV products including at Netflix and Google, where he led product for Google TV. He will continue forward the vision to create a better supply chain for CTV and premium content. As a result of these changes, Matthew Henick, Ian Colley and Melinda Zurich are leaving The Trade Desk.”

Reports that the three executives would be leaving the company resulted in a trading decline for TTD, which closed more than 6% lower on Tuesday than at opening. This marks TTD’s lowest level in six years.

The departures are the latest of many for TTD with chief financial officer Alex Kayyal being dismissed at the start of the year and board members Gokul Rajaram, Lise Buyer, and Kathryn Falberg, all departing over the last few months.
