Thomas departs adidas Hong Kong for Japan role

TOKYO - Dave Thomas has departed his position as marketing director of adidas Hong Kong to take up a new role as director of adidas' creation centre in Japan.

The shift will see Thomas relocate to Tokyo and report directly to Bill Sweeney, global VP of training, products and apparel. Thomas has spent a decade at the sportswear giant, including stints in Australia, Germany and Hong Kong. The Tokyo creation centre is the fourth such entity for adidas globally, following similar units in Germany, the US and Shanghai.

Thomas will head a 50-person team, overseeing product marketing, design and development for Japan.
