Thirteen in running for CAAS account

SINGAPORE - A total of 13 creative and media agencies have made submissions for the S$4 million (US$2.6 million), full-service pitch called by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

Incumbents Euro RSCG and MPG, which have been handling the business for the last two years, will not be pitching for the account this time.

Sources suggest that CAAS is likely to shortlist at least three agencies in the next few days. The final agency appointment will be made by 1 June.

The current tender is reported to be a part of a mandatory review that the CAAS conducts every two years.

The government body is also in the process of selecting a digital agency through a separate tender.

From 1 July, CAAS will be split into two - one part to regulate the industry and the other to run the airport. The tender specifies it is looking for a creative and a media agency for both new companies.
