Thai hospital group unites under new logo

Bangkok Hospital Group has unveiled a new logo which will be used at 10 of its locations , uniting them and strengthening the brand.

The move comes as Thailand's largest private hospital network expands overseas to Cambodia and China, and begins to market itself more aggressively overseas. "Right now, we are focusing on Asean," said Rapeewan Lertsongkhram, marketing executive at the group's International Medical Centre. "Our next target is the Middle East, and then Europe and America." The single logo "will make marketing easier", Rapeewan noted. The group's other brands -- Samitivej Hospital, which has three branches, and Bangkok Nursing Home -- will continue to trade under their existing names and logos. Created by Enterprise IG, the new, three-dimensional logo is aimed at projecting "a warm, Thai hospital offering international standard services", Rapeewan said. The group claims a 15 per cent share of the health-care market and targets mid- and high-income individuals. The network treated 10,000 outpatients and 1,000 inpatients daily last year, up 71 per cent from a year earlier. Foreigners accou-nted for 30 per cent of the total.
