TEA elects new president

BANGKOK The Trade Exhibition Association of Thailand has elected a new president to help promote the industry.

Patprapee Chinachoti, a veteran of the Thai exhibition and convention industry, will focus
on bidding for high-yielding international trade shows.
He intends to bid for ITU 2010 (International Telecommunication Union), which was last held in
Hong Kong in 2006.
Patprapee said that over the next ten years Asia would be divided into three exhibition hubs
– China, India and Southeast Asia, where Thailand was well positioned to be the regional hub, with 210,000 sqm of space.
