The 30-year old German will join the agency in October, 11 months after taking the CD job at JWT Vietnam.
He will assume creative control from chairman and ECD Le Duc Thang, who will focus on driving business growth. “We looked for a combination of extraordinary creative talent across all disciplines, and entrepreneurial spirit," said Juliana Nguyen, MD of TBWA\Vietnam.
"As a start up, we needed someone who is proactive, pragmatic and willing to get his hands dirty in all aspects of the creative process. Birger is young and dynamic and will play an integral role in developing TBWA\Vietnam."
TBWA is one of the newest networks in Vietnam, having established a partnership with Brandcare late last year.
