TBWA\Tequila revamps senior Singapore jobs

TBWA\Tequila has awarded new roles to its senior Singapore management team, in the wake of the departure of joint chief executive officer Justin Barry (Media, January 13).

Former joint Singapore CEO Philip Brett has taken on the new role of chairman of TBWA\Singapore, in addition to his continuing role as regional managing director of Tequila. The four managing partners of the joint TBWA\ Tequila operation in Singapore, meanwhile, have all been handed new positions as part of a greater focus on CRM, planning and business expansion. Jane Hastings becomes managing director of Tequila Singapore, having previously led the agency's SIA, AIA and Pan-Pacific accounts. Dan Paris and Robin Nayak, meanwhile, have moved into regional roles. Paris becomes regional development director, after heading the Standard Chartered account during the past 18 months. According to Brett, he will focus on driving integrated business development internationally, leaving business development director Lou Dela Pena to focus on domestic Singapore business. Nayak, who led planning on the StanChart business, has become regional strategic planning director for Southeast Asia, and is charged with building TBWA\Malaysia's planning offering. Finally, Nirmalo Wilkes as added the role of managing director of the Disruption Consultancy's Singapore operations to her existing portfolio. "(Wilkes) has made such a success of Disruption that we have now decided to develop a stand-alone business which will strive to turn Disruption into a business tool for change in our market," said Brett. Brett added that existing client account management structures would remain intact.
