TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno wins big at Philippines Advertising Congress

MANILA - TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno, along with Tequila Manila, was judged as the Agency of the Year in the recently concluded Philippines Advertising Congress held at the Subic Bay, Philippines.

The Agency of the Year honour is given to the agency that tallies the most number of points based on metal count. TBWASMP and Tequila Manila won the most number of gold and silver trophies along with a big haul of bronze awards.

The Boysen “Flowers” print series emerged as the most awarded campaign of the congress with wins in all the categories into which it was entered. The impressive performance also garnered the Advertiser of the Year award for Pacific Paint Paint Philippines Inc.

Another notable win for the agency was a gold for the Absolut 'Hugs' television ad which was the Manila agency’s winning entry in the 2008 Very Short, Very Cheap Film Festival.

The “Best Integrated Campaign” award went to BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines for its “Lola Techie” campaign for Bayan Telecom. BBDO also dominated for integrated and digital channels.

Chairman and chief creative officer, David Guerrero, said: "I wouldn't trade our body of work for anyone else's. We were recognized for no less than 16 major clients, and for every creative team. The increased focus on effectiveness, demonstrated what we have always known that the best work delivers the best results.”

The bi-annual event attracts the biggest congregation of advertising agencies and advertisers in the country.
