TBWA India appoints Kalyan Challapalli to head Disruption Practice and Mumbai Planning

MUMBAI - TBWA\India has appointed Kalyan Challapalli (pictured) to a 'dual role' to lead its Disruption practice for the company across India as well as the planning function for the Mumbai office.

Chalapalli was previously the head of strategic planning at Contract Advertising, Mumbai, where he led the planning effort on brands such as HSBC, Tata Indicom, Cadbury, Shoppers Stop and Asian Paints.

Speaking on his appointment, Shiv Sethuraman, CEO, TBWA\India Group, said: “Disruption is at the core of what we do and I was very keen to find absolutely the right person to lead it. Kalyan is a Disruption practitioner at heart.”

Last month TBWA\India appointed Arindam Sengupta as vice-president and branch head for its Chennai office to replace outgoing chief, Amarnath Pingalay.
