TBWA expands Asia remit for Merrifield
<P>TBWA\Tokyo chief creative officer John Merrifield has been appointed to the newly-created role of creative-at-large for Asia-Pacific.</P> <P>Reporting to regional chairman Keith Smith, Merrifield will take on regional creative oversight duties across the network, where he will be responsible for improving the quality of creative work. </P> <P>To be based in Singapore, Merrifield will also play a role in talent sourcing, mentoring and leading regional and local pitches.</P> <P>"It's not something where I go off and preach, it's more about where I can make a big difference, where I'm needed most," said Merrifield.</P> <P>He will retain his role on adidas as one of the brand's three global creative directors, saying the new role would enhance his presence on the account. </P> <P>"This will allow me to spend more time with more offices on adidas, and I'll obviously be continuing work with the regional teams based in Hong Kong," Merrifield added.</P> <P><BR> </P>
