TAT aims to woo more Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR To capitalise on the number of Malaysians visiting northern Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Chiang Mai Business Tourism Association will hold a business to business trade show in Kuala Lumpur on March 4.

About 80 sellers from Chiang Mai, comprising hoteliers, travel agents and visitor attractions
have confirmed attendance.

From January to September 2007, close to 106,000 Malaysians visited Chiang Mai.
This is almost 10% of the total of 1.06 million Malaysian tourists who visited Thailand during the same period.
