Tan, most recently VP of Viacom, leading the marketing, brand and product strategies for Nickelodeon across Asia, will work in partnership with TTB Singapore's managing director, Charlie Thomas.
She assumes the responsibilities of Irene Lee, who steps down as chairman of the Hong Kong operation at the end of July. Tan will also serve as a member of TTB's global board, and will report to global chairman and CEO Gary Stolkin.
"The main challenge as everyone knows is finding talent, particularly in the communications planning and media neutral capacities, which is a growing need in Asia-Pacific," said Tan.
TTB, which focuses on the creative and advertising industry, recently selected Singapore to open its third Asia-Pacific office, adding to Hong Kong and Shanghai, which is currently being expanded.
Tan noted that by the end of September, the company was hoping to have at least 15 consultants across the region. "Increasingly, we're seeing Asia become a talent magnet for professionals from Europe and the US. The region is booming and people are keen to be a part of it," she said.
