Taiwan's venues show modern touch

With business outgrowing its facilities, new convention and exhibition venues are being built

TAIPEI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE (TICC)
Located in the Taipei World Trade Centre (TWTC), a four-in-one business complex
that is the focal point of Taiwan’s international trade activities, TICC brings a comprehensive range of business resources within easy reach of event-goers.
With six floors and two levels of underground parking, it has indoor event space of more than 60,000 sqm.
TICC’s facilities have been designed to maximise functionality and flexibility, making it a regular choice for all types of events. More than 800 meetings and events are held here each year.
The building is surrounded by four of Taipei’s most recognisable buildings:
TWTC International Trade Building, TWTC Exhibition Hall (1), the Grand Hyatt Taipei and Taipei 101, the world’s tallest building. The precinct creates a unique architectural symbol that has become a Taipei landmark.
Distance from the airport: 45 minutes.
Nearest hotels: The 856-room Grand Hyatt is within the TWTC complex. The Sherwood and Sheraton Taipei are also nearby.
Recent clients: The internationally renowned Computex trade show is a major client.
Recently the 3rd Scientific Meeting of the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation attracted 700 delegates and the 4th Civil Engineering Conference in the Asian Region attracted 1,000 delegates.
