Titled Money View, the supplement runs every Monday and, explained UDN president and director of editorial George Shuang, will help the newspaper’s pitch to advertisers. "We have this kind of news spread through the paper everyday, but we think that when moved into a supplement it has more focus and gets more attention," said Shuang. "It also makes it easier to pitch to advertisers."
The supplement will, said Shuang, "teach readers how to manage their money in addition to stories on finance and business."
The UDN created its first supplement, called New York Times Weekly, nearly two years ago. It features content from its partner, the New York Times, and is published in English on Tuesdays.
Two subsequent supplements were the lifestyle and shopping guide, Kwaihwo Weekly, issued on Saturdays, and the health guide Yuanchi Weekly, published on Sundays.
