Taishin customers to get bespoke card

<P>UK-based digital credit card designer Serverside Group has announced it will open its Asia headquarters in Taipei in October, after signing Taishin Bank as its first Asian client.</P> <P>Serverside, which has 22 clients globally - including ANZ in New Zealand and The National Bank in Australia - said it anticipates significant demand for its 'personalised' card services in Asia.</P> <P>Visa International has also linked with the company in a strategic partnership, which allows the credit card giant to promote the service to its member banks. </P> <P>The 'AllAboutMe' online design application offers consumers the chance to personalise the design of their credit cards through their banks, allowing them to illustrate their cards with visuals such as family members, pets or their favourite car.</P> <P>"All card issuers look for ways to create a lasting loyalty bond that drives usage," said James Barclay, Serverside senior vice president, Asia-Pacific.</P> <P>"You are able to send your design to friends and family, which creates a viral marketing effect."</P> <P>Barclay said the company was expected to announce several new Asia-Pacific clients in the near future.</P>
