Tag signed on for green platform

The Singapore Environment Council has commissioned Tag Public Relations to help recruit companies to a new network which will promote awareness of green issues among businesses in Singapore.

The charity is hoping to build on the momentum generated by its annual environmental awards by creating a formal platform labelled The Singapore Green Business Alliance (SGBA). Tag, which has been hired on a retainer basis, will assist with the SGBA's formal launch in January, put together its membership package and build up awareness of the initiative through publicity channels and outreach programmes. Tag's main challenge would be positioning the SGBA as a benchmark for companies aspiring to be perceived as environmentally responsible and good corporate citizens, commented the agency's strategic planning director Augustine Low. "This will enable us to spearhead advocacy communication, which is particularly meaningful as we play a role in the Singapore Environment Council's drive to put Singapore on the map of global environmental excellence," he said. The SEC business will be handled by Tag PR account director Julia Lai.
