TABEE 2004 set for March in Hong Kong

Team Australia has chosen the Hong Kong to host its annual TABEE (Team Australia Business Educational Event) for regional corporate buyers from March 1 to 3 at the JW Marriott Hotel.

This is Asia's sixth annual TABEE and the event returns to Hong Kong having been held in Thailand for the past couple of years. Team Australia is a strategic alliance between the Australian Tourist Commission (ATC) and the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux, which is designed to bring in increased convention, exhibition and incentive (CEI) business to Australia through co-ordinated marketing and promotional activities. Corporate meetings and incentive buyers and planners have been invited to meet with Australian city, regional and state CEI promotional bodies. Apart from the ATC, Team Australia brings together convention and tourism bureaux from Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Northern Territory, Perth, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Tasmania, Townsville and the Whitsunday Islands. Each has the opportunity to attend one-on-one meetings with hosted buyers. TABEE 2003 is estimated to have generated A$2.28m (US$1.7m) worth of corporate meetings and incentive business for the Australian market.
