Prior to M&C, Yeung worked for nine years at Bates followed by a short stint at Ogilvy, while Szabo spent a year at TBWA\Hong Kong after returning to the city last year from BBDO Dusseldorf.
"We recognise that both of them are very talented -- Ronnie is a very strong local talent, while David is absolutely brilliant in art direction, which is what this market lacks especially when compared to Singapore," said Janice Chan, the agency's managing director for Greater China. "David's other strength is that he speaks fluent Cantonese."
The appointments follow M&C's new business drive, which saw it pick up the local Union Square brief from the MTR Corporation and the network win the regional AIA brief and the global Tourism Australia task. "M&C has a core philosophy of 'creativity sells', they will add a new level of effectiveness for our clients," said Lo.
