Sydney's show comforts

SYDNEY Exhibitors can now enjoy Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre's newest feature - the purpose-built exhibitor lounges.

The centre's exhibitor lounges are climate-controlled, soundproof areas where exhibitors can unwind in comfort and purchase food and drinks. Centre chief executive Ton van Amerongen said four exhibitor lounges had been built in the Exhibition Centre above halls 2, 3, 4 and 5. Van Amerongen said organisers would also be able to use the lounges at night for presentations or cocktail events. The lounges can seat 56 people theatre style with audiovisual facilities including lecterns, microphones and screens. "Exhibitions are a huge component of our business and we are delighted to be able to offer event organisers the advantage of a dedicated space for exhibitors to relax and mingle with colleagues," he said.
