Suntec to host Asia 'bring-a boat' event

SINGAPORE Organisers of boat and METS ASIA 2002 have announced a new venue for the show and launched a scheme to encourage exhibitors to bring boats to the show. Messe Düsseldorf and the RAI Group said apart from a new location, they have also come up with the "bring-a-boat" incentive scheme that encourages exhibitors to put more boats on display and save money. "The change of venue from Singapore Expo to Suntec Singapore was based on the accessibility of Suntec as well as the ideal conditions of the hall for the display of boats," a spokesman said. The hall's large doors and ramps can accommodate sizeable boats. "Under this new (incentive) scheme, apart from paying for the required booth size, exhibitors pay rates based on per boat displayed rather than space." boat & METS ASIA will be held between April 18-21 2002.
