BioMedical Asia 2008 will welcome more than 1,000 leading medical figures to Singapore,
with more than 200 international speakers expected to participate in panel discussions.
The event will include six main conferences, two industryfocused summits and five pre- and post-conference master classes. Specially arranged networking activities are also planned.
While there are several life sciences conferences and biomedical technology trade shows, the absence of one major event led organiser Terrapinn to bring all aspects of the value chain together.
Terrapinn’s general manager, life sciences, Wang Ting Ting said: “BioMedical Asia 2008 combines high-level delegations attending conferences that run in multiple streams: a trade exhibition, the biotech showcase and career fair.”
The conference series covers biomedical themes while the summits will address contract manufacturing and clinical partnering.
BioMedical Asia 2008 grew from the Singapore Tourism Board’s strategic cluster approach to get industry-specific companies or associations, the meeting, incentive and conference industries, and government agencies to create events that are based on the key drivers of Singapore’s economy.
