Sumedi signs up for Lowe ECD post

JAKARTA - Lowe Indonesia has hired former Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and 10AM Communications art director Din Sumedi as its first ECD.

Most recently with Ogilvy Hong Kong, Sumedi becomes part of Lowe Indonesia CEO Joseph Tan’s plans to improve the agency’s creative output. “Raising the creative bar has been my number one priority since joining,” said Tan (pictured), who took over as CEO last August. “Din will act as a beacon to attract more top talent.”

Lowe recently won Nestlé confectionery and Sampoerna’s Panamas cigarette brand. Lowe won Nestlé’s confectionary business, which includes KitKat, Polo and Fox’s, after a three-way pitch with JWT and local incumbent Macs909. Panamas selected Lowe after a pitch with Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, JWT and local shop Cabe Rawit.

Lowe already handles Sampoerna’s Hijau cigarette brand. The IPG agency has also picked two new activation-led clients, Sprite and Nestlé’s wellness division.
