Stewart rejoins Moto as STW unit disbands

SYDNEY - Neil Stewart (pictured) will relocate to Singapore to rejoin Motorola, following the disbandment of One Barrack Street, a bespoke STW Group unit that serviced the agency's Vodafone Australia business.

Stewart’s decision comes after One Barrack Street decided not to contest the key brand advertising component of Vodafone’s agency review, which began earlier this year. Stewart joined One Barrack Street 12 months ago to lead the unit.

Last week, Vodafone shifted the lion’s share of its US$33 million advertising account to Clemenger Group.

“It’s reminded me that the best clients get the best out of their agencies,” said Stewart of his agency stint.

“To make that integrated model work, it does force the client to have some commitment and some courage.”

He rejoins Motorola as marketing head for Asia, excluding Greater China, after a previous four-year stint.
