Steward returns to MTV in senior role
<P>Former MTV Networks Asia senior vice-president of advertising sales Christopher Steward has been lured back to the broadcaster, following last month's sudden departure of Toby Hayward (Media, 28 July).</P> <P>Steward, who originally held the position from 1998 to 2004, was most recently executive vice-president of sales and operations for Sydus, a company specialising in streaming music to mobile, a role he held for just over a year.</P> <P>"When I left in 2004, I felt I had done what I could and that the time was right to go and explore the digital landscape," said Steward.</P> <P>"As it became evident that MTV was rapidly evolving into a content leader in the digital space, I came to realise that my work here was far from done."</P>
