Steward in early exit from Viacom Brands

SINGAPORE - Christopher Steward, the Asia-Pacific head of Viacom Brands Solutions, is stepping down from his role.

Steward returned to the company last summer (Media, 3 August 2006) after a year spent running the sales department of mobile marketing outfit Sydus. Steward’s boss, MTVNI COO Alex Ferrari, said: “Chris has been a passionate leader for our brands and has been a big part of our evolution in Asia.”

Steward’s role will be partly filled by Ian Stewart, who becomes SVP, Viacom Brands Solutions International — a new role that covers the company’s entire sales and research operations in Asia.

Stewart will remain in Singapore and report to both Kevin Razvi, VP and MD of VBS International, and Amit Jain, who has been promoted to another new role, EVP and MD, MTV Networks India, China and Southeast Asia.

Jain, who has been running MTV’s India operation, has a remit to grow the company’s digital and linear programming services in the region.
