Steward departs MTV again

SINGAPORE - Christopher Steward, the Asia Pacific head of Viacom Brands Solutions, is leaving the company six months into his new role.

Steward returned to the company only last summer (Media 3 August) after a year spent running the sales department of mobile marketing outfit Sydus. He was lured back to the broadcasting group by the then president of MTV Networks Asia Pacific Nigel Robbins, with whom he used to work as MTV’s senior VP of advertising sales.

His role will be partly filled by Ian Stewart, who becomes senior VP, Viacom Brands Solutions International - a newly created role.

Separately, Amit Jain, who runs MTV’s India operation, has been promoted to another newly created role: EVP and MD, MTV Networks India, China and Southeast Asia. His remit will be to lead the growth of the company’s digital and linear programming services in the region.
