A question-answer document released by STB to the participating agencies features names of 24 media, creative and digital agencies. While the major international network agencies figure in the list, the only big creative agencies that are conspicuous by their absence are TBWA and McCann Erickson. However, sources close to the pitch claim that McCann Erickson will be participating in this pitch. TBWA confirmed it would not.
Reports also suggest that five agencies will be shortlisted after the first round and agencies are likely to be informed about their selection on 5 February. Three out of these will make it to the final round after a face-to-face meeting with clients, while the final announcement will be made in the second week of March.
