StarHub launches prepaid cable TV service

StarHub has broadened the audience for its cable TV offering in Singapore with a service that allows non-subscribers to buy channels on a pay-per-use basis. <BR><BR> The FlexiWatch service, which requires the purchase of a set-top box, enables viewers to buy a 'FlexiPack' of Chinese and kids channels - including MTV Mandarin, TVBS Asia, Disney Channel and Star Chinese Movies - for a minimum of three consecutive days, at S$3.30 (US$2) per day, up to a maximum of 25 consecutive days. <BR><BR> "Based on the success of FlexiSurf for our broadband services, it is clear that the lifestyles of some customers make them more receptive to buying services on a pay-per-use basis," said StarHub cable TV services VP Patrick Lim.
