Pushkar Sane, general manager for Asia, said the move was representative of the company’s evolution from being largely internet-driven to encompassing more mobile marketing and technology applications.
Separately, Sankalp Bala has joined Starcom IP’s Mumbai office as group head, moving from GroupM Interaction, where he specialised in search engine marketing.
Starcom IP’s client portfolio in Asia includes General Motors, Samsung, Jet Airways, Oracle, Procter & Gamble, Singapore Tourism Board, Sony, Sun Microsystems and Western Union.
