Starcom CEO departs

SINGAPORE - Gan Boon Guan (pictured), the CEO of Starcom Singapore, is leaving the agency two years after he joined it.

Jeffrey Seah, CEO of Southeast Asia of Starcom Mediavest Group, said he was leaving to pursue “personal interests”. Arthur Sung, GM of Starcom Singapore, will assume Gan's management responsibilities.

“For the past two years as CEO of Starcom Singapore, Gan has been a leader-for-the-people, helming the agency with his experience and trademark dedication,” said Seah. “We wish Gan all the best as he embarks on a new chapter of his life."

Account wins under his leadership include Far East Organisation, UOB and Red Bull.

Prior to joining Starcom, Gan was the managing director of OMD where he spent eight years. He has spent 12 years in total with Omnicom, after a 10-year spell at Ogilvy where he was media director.
