Star launches third Indian regional channel

MUMBAI - Star is launching its third regional language channel in India: Star Pravah across the state of Maharashtra.

The new channel will attempt to offer high production values aimed at Marathi consumers.

Previously, Star had already rolled out Tamil and Bengali channels, named Vijay and Jalsha respectively. “We expect Star Pravah to introduce a new choice for viewers across Maharashtra and become a leading channel in the market,” said Eric Abelev, vice president of corporate affairs and communications in STAR.
