SINGAPORE Star Alliance, which includes Asia Pacific carriers Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airlines, Ansett Australia, Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines, has set up a one-stop service for event organisers.
Conventions Plus aims to provide a single point of contact for organisers, irrespective of how many Star carriers are involved.
The service will be managed by the lead airline in the country where the event is to take place.
Ticketing and other travel plans will be handled by the local airline.
Star Alliance hopes the scheme will increase conference and incentive business for its members.
