Stagwell's Assembly and Allison win Oppo Singapore account

Agencies appointed as media and PR AORs following competitive pitch.

Chinese electronics brand Oppo has appointed Assembly as its media agency of record and Allison Worldwide as its PR and influencer agency for the Singapore market following a competitive pitch.

Both agencies are part of the Stagwell group, which, from Q1 2026, will operate out of a new Asia Pacific headquarters at Solaris in Singapore. The hub will bring together ADK, Allison, Assembly and Forsman & Bodenfors and other Stagwell agency brands under one roof.

Under the contract, Allison will handle Oppo's public relations, executive positioning and content development in Singapore. Assembly will be responsible for media planning and buying, with a remit focused on supporting sales and customer acquisition.

The account will be led by Kelvyn Foo, general manager and regional growth lead for APAC at Allison, and Sharon Soh, managing director for Southeast Asia at Assembly. Assembly said it will deploy its Stage AI Experience Engine and Brand Performance Planning tools to manage the brand's media investment, while Allison will draw on its technology and consumer brand experience to support Oppo's product and corporate communications.

Dylan Yu, marketing director at Oppo Singapore, said the agencies were chosen for the depth of their local market capabilities and their ability to align with Oppo's global marketing strategy. Margaret Key, executive director for Asia-Pacific at Stagwell, said the group aims to strengthen OPPO’s brand in Singapore while supporting its commercial growth through more targeted and measurable marketing.

The appointment adds to a run of recent client wins for the two agencies. In December, Raffles Hotel named Allison as its communications agency. In July, Assembly expanded its relationship with Hyatt, adding the hotel group’s affiliate marketing business to its existing global paid media remit.
