Sriram to depart Starcom Asia-Pacific

SINGAPORE - Starcom MediaVest Asia-Pacific CEO D Sriram (pictured) is to depart his role on 1 April, after 13 years with the agency.

His responsibilities will be split between Hong Kong, Taiwan and South China CEO Paul Maher and South Asia CEO Ravi Kiran, who will take charge of Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, respectively. Sriram has been CEO for three years, prior to which he was in charge of the agency’s Southeast Asian sub-region.

Before shifting to Starcom Singapore seven years ago, Sriram was head of Mediavest Greater China in Hong Kong.

His career in India included stints at Rediffusion DY&R and Madison Media. 

In addition, Starcom Korea MD Puneet Arora is shifting to Hong Kong to take charge of that office, following the departure of Mabel Leung last month. Starcom Hong Kong has also promoted Shirley Lau and Margaret Ho to deputy general managers.
