ZAC Toons develops content based around animated characters. It can be distributed online and on mobile in the form of wallpapers, screensavers and short clips. It has deals with 25 mobile operators in 15 countries.
The exclusive deal with SPTI covers eight characters.
Media companies and mobile operators are battling to secure content for mobile distribution. “As we continue to grow our mobile entertainment business, deals such as this will enhance our leading position in the industry and strengthen our portfolio,” said Rosemary Tan, SPTI’s director, mobile entertainment for Asia.
SPTI seals mobile cartoon distribution deal
HONG KONG - Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has secured a mobile content deal with UK-based ZAC Toons covering Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and India.
