SportAccord taps Hill & Knowlton on Seoul convention

International sports convention SportAccord has appointed Hill & Knowlton (H&K) to maximise regional and global awareness of SportAccord's first convention to be held in Asia in Seoul in April.

H&K's international sports marketing and sponsorship division, which worked alongside London 2012 for its successful Olympic bid, will promote SportAccord via H&K's network of offices in Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Anna Hellman, GM of SportAccord, said: "We are very pleased that Hill & Knowlton will be our PR partner for this year's SportAccord in Seoul and we believe that its experience and knowledge will help the development of our convention."

Speakers at the five-day convention include John Furlong, chief executive of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, and Gilbert Felli, executive director of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Bidding cities, major event companies, international sports federations and the IOC executive board will attend the convention, which will discuss key issues facing the international sports movement. Major exhibitors include UK Trade & Investment, the Seoul Olympic Sport Promotion Foundation, Communidad Valenciana and the XV Pan-American Games Rio 2007.
