SINGAPORE: TBWA has won the ad account for the Singapore International

Convention & Exhibition Center (SICEC), which is spending Sdollars 1.1m

(USdollars 600,000) over three years to promote Singapore as a regional

hub for conferences and exhibitions.

SICEC has persuaded the Singapore Tourism Board and seven Singapore

hotels to contribute money towards the campaign. The hotels are the

Conrad International Centennial, Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Marina Mandarin,

Pan-Pacific, The Oriental, Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza.

TBWA, which also works for the Ritz-Carlton Millenia, was involved in a

creative pitch against several undisclosed agencies. The incumbent was

design studio Design At Work.

A print campaign, aimed primarily at conference organisers, will be

launching in coming weeks in business and specialist publications.
