The Singapore Press Holdings-owned company took over the title on April 1. SIA vice-president public affairs, Rick Clements, said four proposals were shortlisted, including BluInc's after the latter's contract expired on March 31.
"Times Periodicals was appointed because the selection panel felt that its proposal best met our requirements and expectations. We would like our magazine to be the best in the industry," Clements said.
Sources said Times presented a "new approach" but SilverKris faces new pressures after Hong Kong publisher Emphasis opted to audit four rival inflight titles it handles.
