BEIJING The Special Olympics organisation is ramping up its publicity campaign with a host of initiatives aimed at raising awareness of next year's competition in mainland China.
Complimenting an above-the-line push which broke last month, organisers of the Games - to be held in Shanghai next October - have embarked on a relationship building push with key media owners, creative and media agencies, in a bid to build awareness of the Games over the next ten months, through a TV summit in China.
Peter Wheeler, executive vice-president, Special Olympics said that response had been positive, with a number of global and national awareness campaigns planned for next year.
