Puriwat will retain his position as president of Future Marketing Group, Spa’s parent company.
Oxford graduate Dr Puriwat is currently a senior lecturer in marketing at Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University. He will report to Spa founder Kitti Chambundabongse (pictured), who said: "Dr Wilert Puriwat was handpicked not only for his academic achievement but also for his attitude, passion and creativity. He has the right skills to lead Spa and take the agency to its next level."
Spa has recently won a slew of new clients including Dutch Mill’s soy-based range, ETC mobile, Saaugel, M 150 and Shark energy drink. The agency, which was until recently the subject of takeover speculation, counts Toyota and Leo Beer among its key clients.
