The band was picked by M&C Saatchi to fit with the fun, youthful and energetic personality of M Card and for the band's growing popularity among Singapore's teens.

"The appeal of 5566 is at its peak right now, and with their strong fan base fitting the profile of M Card users, it makes perfect sense to let the boys front the brand," said Terrance Tan, creative director at M&C Saatchi.

The music video-style television commercial will run on Singapore's Channel 5, 8, U and AXN in addition to local cinemas. Prior to the launch of the TVC, a teaser online campaign with MSN was drummed up to build a database amongst the youth. The response exceeded expectations and resulted in a surge of M Card sales.
