The agency's win covers strategic planning and creative advertising across four South Asian markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.
Publicis, which also handles the group's Bella Skincare brand, was awarded the business from Hong Kong's ACI, which worked on Bella Skincare and Svenson regionally.
ACI lost the Hong Kong business to Leo Burnett last year.
Aileen Chua, regional marketing director for Marie France Bodyline, Svenson Haircare and Bella Skincare, said: "Publicis stood out during the pitch with its understanding of the slimming category and the quality of its creative work. Also, having worked with them on Bella Skincare, I have the confidence that they will deliver when the pitch is over."
OMD handles media buying and planning for the company. Janet Liau, strategic planning director and group account director at Publicis Singapore, said: "A campaign will launch mid-year, but there are other activities (in the pipeline). Marie France is the preferred brand among consumers, if money is not an issue. Svenson is more popular in Singapore than price-sensitive Malaysia."
