SOUTHEAST ASIA HEADLINES: Singapore manufacturers optimistic over outlook

Manufacturers in Singapore are optimistic for the first half of this year, a study by the Economic Development Board has found. About a third expected a better business environment, against only 11 per cent who felt prospects would worsen. But despite the optimism, just six per cent of manufacturers expect to hire more workers.
