SOUTHEAST ASIA: Dabral, Lim team up with top-level postings at Ogilvy

SINGAPORE: With Andy Greenaway's departure as group chairman and ECD of Ogilvy Singapore, Ogilvy vice-chairman Asia-Pacific Tim Isaac has made two top-level appointments to seal the gap in the Singapore agency.

Leo Burnett GM and regional account director Gerard Lim, is set to join as managing director of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in early March, and will team up with with Sonal Dabral, who will move from Malaysia, where he is managing director and ECD, in the first half of 2004.

Lim will replace Nick Thomas, who has moved over to run a new regional venture within the WPP group.

"Making the ad agency tick is one of the key targets for 2004. With Gerard and Sonal, it will mean an active and energetic new business target, of five to 10 per cent increase in revenue, can be achieved in Singapore," said Isaac.
